Build Your Own Burger Board

Build Your Own Burger Board- the slider version is a dream food for any sporting gathering. It does not matter if there are one or five people at your place; this will most certainly satisfy just about any burger connoisseur or meat lover. However, you wish to call yourself!

I made this one a while ago for a brand I was working with, so I’ve decided to repost it on my blog. It is such an excellent idea and beautiful not to share with you guys.

You really can’t ask for me, right?!

You can mix and match. Add some other add-ons, serve with the beverage of your choice, kick back and enjoy.

You can prep before the game or gathering starts or include your friends or family to join in the fun.

If you happen to be a vegetarian, I have an idea for you guys, too – make meatless burgers. There are so many options nowadays that no one will be excluded. Not on my watch!

If you do not eat red meat, you could prep turkey or fish burgers. If you ask me if you think a bit harder, the possibilities are endless.

Build Your Own Burger Board

Anyhow, my family devoured this board. It was such a hit around here. They’ve been asking me to make it over and over again. I love to please them, of course!

I am just your friendly food blogger giving you an idea, and it’s up to you how you will deliver. I usually make board during games, so it is nothing new here.

Build Your Own Burger Board is a wonderful way to enjoy food with your loved ones.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound of ground beef, 80/20 ground chuck – 80% lean meat, and 20% fat.
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup plain breadcrumbs
  • 2 teaspoons of salt, or to taste
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Additional board item options:

  • American Cheese, or any other
  • Mayo, Ketchup, or any other condiments that you prefer
  • tomatoes, lettuce, pickles, onion, etc.
  • Chips, fries, or similar
  • buns, or wraps

Instructions

  1. Combine all the ingredients. Cover with plastic film (wrap) and refrigerate for one hour.
  2. Make patties, about 1 1/2 to 2 oz balls, flatten them, then press a dent in the center of each burger patty, so they don’t puff up while grilling or baking in the oven or on the stovetop.
  3. Grill for about 3 minutes on each side, depending on how you like your burgers. For me, 2 min per side is the best, but for well done, 3-4 minutes per side is perfect too.

Build a burger board: Place on the wooden board any topping that you would like, plus sauces. Then place burgers last and serve while burgers are still hot.

Notes

If you can use the same recipe using ground chicken. You can find that recipe here
