I wanted to let you all know and beforehand apologies for not posting a recipe today. For the next few days (or more) I will spend time learning how to improve my blog, pictures, recipes and content....more like trying to find inspiration or motivation, something new for you to drool. Besides that I have total bloggers's blockage where I have no idea what to write about except to start yapping about non-sense and not to mention having lack of recipe creativity.
Anyhow...I will leave you just with simple salad pictures. As you can see it's Spinach with Pear, Peppers and Crispy baked bacon, and drizzled with light Parm Dressing...does the combination works? Well, I liked it! It's unique and unusual perhaps, but we all ate before sweet and savory salad mixed together. Wanted to add Feta Cheese but somebody ate it without my knowledge, so I was left with the dressing :)
Sooo my friends, I will see you with something delicious very soon, hopefully I'll find my zen.....thank you for understanding and I wish you all an amazing weekend!!!!
Your Friend,
Sandra

Good luck, Sandra! And good for you - sometimes it's a good idea to just step back and take stock.
ReplyDelete+I'd love to dig in to that salad right now. It's lunch time!
Hey Sandra, I'm sad that I won't be reading your posts for a while. But I understand what you're talking about. I wish you all the best and pray that you come back soon and enjoy great success :)
ReplyDeleteI guess we all hit that block sometimes in our blog writing. :) It's okay, just relax and take your time. I'm sure that block will be gone in no time. I love your simple salad pictures. Very beautiful and I love that sweet and savory combination a lot. I look forward to reading your posts with new inspirations. ;) take care.
ReplyDeletePretty salad, Sandra! Hope your time away refreshes you and fills you with creativity! :)
ReplyDeleteI need some time off to read and learn too. I believe that is going to be very helpful in the long run! Good luck to get inspiration and to learn, Sandra! Your simple salad has beautiful colors on the plate! Very energizing!
ReplyDeleteSuch lovely plating, Sandra! I'm always learning, always wanted to see how I can improve my shots. I'm such a novice photography compared to u ladies :<

Such a pretty salad. I know all about people eating the ingredients I was counting on. Good luck with finding your zen.
ReplyDeleteHi Sandra! Love your simple salad. I’m just afraid my hubby would like to remove everything except for the bacon =)
ReplyDeleteI've been on a break since last year and when I game back to my blog, I couldn't upload pictures anymore!! Somehow it feels like starting all over again. Luckily my hubby fixed the problem so hopefully I can get back to it. I’m sure you’ll be back in no time!
what a lovely salad. Excited for you to come back!!
ReplyDeletei just took a long break (4 weeks!!) from blogging as i lost inspiration and motivation. I spent some time reading other blogs and watching food shows and I have finally gained enough insights and I am ready to continue my food journey in 2013! I guess sometimes a little downtime is definitely worth a while. Hope you'll find your zen pretty soon!
ReplyDeleteYes, I know what you mean. It's good to take some breaks and come back with new forces:) By the way, your photos of the salad are great:)
ReplyDeleteI think it's January or something. I have a block too, but mine is I just want to do other things more than write. Take some time and do something else, I know it works for me.

I hope you will find the right click again. It's good to step back once in a while. I know what you mean because sometimes, I just stare at the computer for days without knowing what to do or write. Your salad looks great by the way!
ReplyDeleteLove that you've added pears and bacon to this delicious spinach salad, Sandra! I know you'll find your "groove" with blogging eventually, but it does take time! Could have fooled me, your pictures are writing are always wonderful!
ReplyDeletePretty salad! I haven't posted in a while myself, because I was traveling for business and now I have a hard time getting myself back into the blog-posting mode :)
ReplyDeleteIt seems as though the salad was professionally done by some master chef in town. I remember doing some experimentation when I went to an event and there's a full service catering in the reception, I'm feeling expert and chef there but here you look as though, you've studied it.
ReplyDeleteMaking salad recipe is how I spend my leisure time! I enjoy making and experimenting new recipes for our food catering menu. And I find your recipe very well presented and delish!
ReplyDeleteThat’s a different salad recipe from what I’m used to make. What sauce did you use?
ReplyDeleteHi Sophie,
DeleteYes, the combination is bit different and it was working for my taste, but not so much for my hubby. I guess it all depends on the persons likes and dislikes. I used light Parmigiana cheese dressing. Thank you!
