Mmmmmm....wonder if my picky crew would like these? It's worth a try as they look fabulous! Great feature, Sandra!!! xo
ReplyDeleteWe love cookies and I frequently use a whole grain (ww or spelt) for part of the ap flour and no one ever knows! These look awesome!
ReplyDeleteThe giveaway book looks fantastic too, I need to lower my carb addiction... perhaps if I didn't bake so much I wouldn't eat baked goods so much!! ;)
Sandra these do look great, I'm not much of a sweet baker so I really don't know what might be missing. Cheers to you and a thanks to Chef Ameera. hugs!
ReplyDeleteYour cookies sound great. They sound very similar to some muffins I make without the chocolate chips.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to be able to cut back on my sweets this year. It's always been my downfall except when I was pregnant with my first child. Then I didn't have a single sweet for 9 months. It's amazing how easy it was to turn my sweet tooth off
The cookies look delicious and you've done wonders, Sandra! You keep on-a-goin'!
ReplyDeleteAs for my number one lifestyle challenge! Hmmm...I actually have two! (1) I am a night time snacker. Healthy, fattening, whatever...I SNACK! I try to keep my calories down during the day because the snackage is going to happen! (2) I want to exercise more. i've started walking and have seen a HUGE improvement!
I have liked both of your Facebook pages. I don't know why I haven't liked them before!
ReplyDeletei've subscribed to LA Girls DO cook as well! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI'm curious how these cookies will taste like by cutting sugar and butter (but not chocolate! whoo hoo!). My challenge is to keep my dieting "consistent". I tend to allow myself eating "a little more" after a few weeks since I start dieting...then get lazy. It's so hard to maintain as there is always some events and parties and I end up eating more than necessary (how can I say no to food someone cooked?!)... so That's something I need to improve.
ReplyDeleteI'm already following your FB Sandra!
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm new follower of LA Girls DO Cook!
ReplyDeleteMine is not a big diet change-you know baby steps..I would like to incorporate more grains into the diet. Your cookies do comply with that and they look tasty.
ReplyDeleteSince I already have such a huge library of cookbooks, I will need to pass on the sweet giveaway. However, I am sure the lucky winners will get great use out of these wonderful books!
I am currently on a diet so these cookies sound like perfect to me! They look delicious plus healthy and not loaded with calories! You have a beautiful collection of recipes here!
ReplyDeleteThese looks so fluffy and delicious!
ReplyDeleteI never made chocolate chip cookies with apple sauce and am up to trying them because they look wonderful. Thanks for a super giveaway!!
ReplyDeleteCookies look so good, and Chocolate Chip are my favorite!
ReplyDeleteMy #1 lifestyle change would to be to cook more foods from scratch.
I'm now a fan of your and L.A. Girls Do Cook facebook pages.
ReplyDeleteYou are so right- eating healthy can taste terrific - in fact, better in some cases. Terrific cookie recipe. I've discovered that I can use whole what pastry flour in place of white flour and it works just as well. Bob's Red Mill is the brand I buy. You might like it. Terrific cookie!
ReplyDeleteSandra, sviđaju mi se tvoji keksići :) Pogotovo jer si smanjila dozu šećera i maslaca, a doza čokolade je ostala jednaka :) :)
ReplyDeleteThank you ladies for all of you lovely comments. Sandra is amazing and I was ecstatic to assist her with her lifestyle change. Ann, even with cutting down your calories in the day, late night snacking will lead to extra weight in unwanted places. Try eating a sliced green apple, squeeze some lemon over it and sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg. Also, make sure you eat within an hour of rising. it helps boost your metabolism throughout the day. Suzi,Nami,Cake Dutchess, Jane and Lorraine and Mother Rimmy---THANK YOU!!!
ReplyDeleteDear Sandra, Great chocolate chip cookie recipe. Always a classic. Blessings, Catherine xo
