I don't have Slurpee machine, but I have to tell you that is much better than if you go and buy any of the ice smoothies or Slurpee's because I didn't use food coloring, it has less sugar, and most important it is natural and organic fruit!
Serves 4
Ingredients:
- 2 slices of cold watermelon, cut into chunks
- 3 slices of cantaloupe, cut into chunks
- (you can use honey dew)
- 1/2 Tbs. sugar
- 2 cups of crushed ice, divide or each
Directions:
- In a food processor or blender put watermelon chunks with ice, and mix.
- Pour into glass and place in freezer.
- After that wash the food processor/blender and place cantaloupe chunks with 1/2 Tbs. sugar and ice.
- Mix it until it is well blended.
- Pour on top of the watermelon which should get bit frozen and will hold a cantaloupe on top.
You can save yourself time and mix both fruit together!
Taste is sensational as well as the smell when two melons meet together in one cup, it is sweet but not to sweet, cold, refreshing and kids love it!!!
PS. You can make this adult version and add your favorite alcoholic drink!!!
Enjoy and Slurp your way this summer!!!!

That is something for me!!!! Izgleda fenomenalno! Ovo moram isprobati. Thanks for sharing ♥ Sandra!

ReplyDeleteHi Pola, yes I think that vodka would be great with this!!! Thank you for visiting me again!:)
ReplyDeleteI want this-NOW! I may go into the kitchen, add a little rum, and call it a day!
ReplyDeleteLOL Heather, it sounds like you have a plan..:) Thank for coming!

ReplyDelete:))) Thank you..I know here is so hot too! You are always sweet!!!
ReplyDeleteThis would be awesome for those 90+ degree days! I will have to find a substitute for the watermelon... I don't like that stuff. :)
ReplyDeletethis is perfect
ReplyDeleteI love how colorful this drink is. It looks gorgeous and so refreshing! :)
ReplyDeleteSo refreshing!
ReplyDeleteMy eldest daughter loves watermelon, and I love watermelon and cantaloupe as well... so I have bookmarked it for our summertime! Great idea, healthy, refreshing and tasty! It also looks gorgeous: don't you just love that colour?? Great pictures as always my friend! :-)
ReplyDeleteWhat a perfect way to get your kids to eat more fruit too! So pretty, and refreshing!!
ReplyDeleteLooks divine and refreshing! Maybe I could use my normal melon this way and of course add some alcohol!
ReplyDeletePerfect treat after a day in the sun....and I know this tastes way better than something I would pick up at the convenience store.
ReplyDeleteThis is so colorful and perfect for a summer day! Thanks for sharing this one. Can't wait to try it.
ReplyDeletelove this, just the way it is! looks super refreshing!
ReplyDeleteThis looks just perfect right about now. The colors are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThank you all for the great comments..I appreciate them very much!!!
ReplyDeleteDrink looks great, and I'm sure is very tasty! Refreshing and very fragrant! :)
ReplyDeleteSandra-Such a natural colorful, and refreshing slurpee for the kids, and the adults, as well. I would love to add some rum to it for Daiquiri...nice refreshing cocktail for a lazy summer afternoon:DDD
ReplyDeleteHi Sandra!! We JUST finished 1 watermelon and 1 cantaloupe and I had to say it was too much for our family. We usually wait until they are sweet then we have to eat quickly before they go bad. I wish I knew this recipe then we didn't have to eat them like we don't want to see again. LOL. Seriously, the drink is much easier to consume than eating them. I LOVE the this recipe and my kids will for sure. Next time I'm going to make this with half of the fruits and eat the rest. Happy ending!!!!! Thank you for sharing this recipe! Two thumbs up!
ReplyDeleteYum! It's a beautiful day here so this is just what I need to make! I might cheat though and use my ice cream maker to freeze it slightly...thanks so much! : )
ReplyDeleteFancy serving style for kids....
ReplyDeleteRefreshment looks very nice:)
Those are just so pretty. I can't have enough of watermelons and melons. They are just so delicious and refreshing. Love it!
ReplyDeleteA bunch of awards for you! :)

I am always up for a cool-off summer drink and this one looks fantastic! I'm sure it is a kid and adult pleaser alike :)
ReplyDeleteThey look so pretty and refreshing!
ReplyDeleteRefreshing. Yum!
ReplyDeleteYour FB photos had me drooling! Love this one. But I think I just might add a touch of rum to mine without telling the kids!! ;)
ReplyDeleteI have watermelon, I have canteloupe, and I have something more adult on hand too! I've been using my melons in my green drinks, guess it's time for a change. Beautiful color.
ReplyDeletePerfect for a hot summer day! I also love the colors and presentation.
ReplyDeleteCantaloupe and watermelon in a glass? This is such a great slurpee combination for a hot day! The colors and flavors are amazing, and best of all, it's natural and organic. Your kid are very lucky tiny people to have a clever mom like you, Sandra!
ReplyDeleteP-E-R-F-E-C-T for the heat!
ReplyDeleteThis looks incredibly refreshing! I can't believe that spring is over and humidity is here already! I love the colors!
ReplyDeleteWow these sound amazing! Especially since the heat is rising up in the 90's here already! I'm thinking me and my hubby would have to make the 'adult version' of these by adding some Malibu Rum!! YUM
ReplyDeleteSandra those are such beautiful photos ... and such a refreshing and healthy drink too!
ReplyDeleteSo refreshing and watermelon is a favorite around here. Thanks for sharing. Beautiful pics.
ReplyDeleteLove the name of this, but even more so, love that it is way better than a real slurpee! Real melon purees sound delicious in a slurpee instead of the usual overly sweet artificial syrup!
ReplyDeleteThis looks so refreshing! I am going to give these a try this summer!
ReplyDeleteLove the fruit in this slurpee-I never have see one with this combination of flavors. Very refreshing-buzzed it.
ReplyDeleteMmmm - this is fabulous, Sandra!! Sounds and looks perfect :)
ReplyDeleteThis is simple and delicious! Perfect for the summer. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThis is perfect for summer when you want something cold and refreshing but don't want ice cream. I'd actually choose this over ice cream any day. I'm adding this to my list of vacation recipes!
ReplyDeleteThis looks amazingly refreshing! It is supposed to be 95 tomorrow and all I want to do is sit on a beach with one of those! Thanks for sharing Sandra!
ReplyDeleteThis would be perfect right now, love the color :)
ReplyDeleteWow! Looks amazing!
ReplyDeleteOh, what a delicious, refreshing drink! I love that it uses both watermelon and cantaloupe...yummy!
ReplyDeletelike the combination delicious drink
ReplyDeleteI think I have a new favorite summer drink :)
ReplyDeleteGenius! Love the use of watermelon. I would like the adult version of this please.
ReplyDeleteSee it's the P.S. part my 3 year old doesn't like well the kiddie version - soda/carbonation. I had forgotten that slurpees have carbonation in them. I bought one for my kids to share after having been AMAZING on an errand run one hot day last week. my 3year old got the first sip and promptly threw the drink to the floor shrieking at how horrible it was. So much for a reward for good behavior.
ReplyDeleteThis looks heavenly! Love the colors too :) Wishing I had the ingredients to make this. I could totally go for one right now.
ReplyDeleteHi Sandra, This looks so refreshing and healthy. It is like a Mexican agua fresca plus the crushed ice. Mouthwatering :) Thanks for having participated in June's YBR:)
