Potato Halves with Cheese and Parsley and Frigidaire's Make time for Change

And

Frigidaire's Make Time For Change!

This little side dish is the most popular fast, easy and delicious dish in my house. We eat these potatoes with cheddar cheese, sometimes with Philadelphia cream cheese and chives or just with plain low-fat sour cream..and today I decided to sprinkle them with little bit of fresh parsley along with Sharp Cheddar Cheese.
I had my kids to help me with preparation. My daughter was washing and scrubbing potatoes, my oldest son was mincing the parsley and my youngest one standing on the side and asking about million times "when it's going to be done" ..it is cute for first 10 minutes, but after..well you just want him to stop asking!
I love to include my kids in preparations when I am cooking, and this was easy and fun for them to feel important.
This is how to prepare this easy side dish:
You will need:
       4-5 same size potatoes
     Olive oil
    Salt
(I love freshly grounded sea salt, but you can use what to have)
     Parsley
   Cheddar cheese

Preheat the oven on 400 degrees Fahrenheit
Wash the potatoes really good, and cut into equal halves.
Drizzle olive oil, and sprinkle salt on top.
Bake for about 25-30 minutes, or until the potatoes are golden brown on top.
Like I said you can use any topping that you love, but tonight this one was a hit with my kids, and plus they were so proud because they helped me prepare it!

  28. Thanks for the great veggie recipe (following the ex-Yu foodie blogging community, 90% of savoury dishes have meat in them, so this is a nice refreshment for someone who doesn't eat meat). And thanks for stopping by my blog.
Do you just lay the cheddar slices on top of warm potatoes and serve or do you put them back to the oven for a few minutes, so that the cheese can melt?

@Maxivida- Usually I just lay the cheese on top and it melts by itself, but this time my kids wanted to eat and I had to make a photos:D so I just put the plate for a minute in the microwave and just sprinkle the parsley on top.
Thanks again for all your comments and support!
